    Description

Cornell University’s Humanities Scholars Program (HSP), an undergraduate research initiative in the College of Arts & Sciences, offers postdoctoral associate positions connecting scholarly research with undergraduate teaching and mentoring. The program supports research that cultivates interdisciplinary exchange, nurtures collaboration across academic disciplines, and builds on disciplinary contributions to the humanities, broadly conceived. Scholars in any discipline may propose research, including work in the humanities, interpretive social sciences, creative arts, and fields that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries.

Associates develop their undergraduate teaching skills while guiding students through the formulation and investigation of humanistic questions. They teach a spring seminar, mentor senior thesis seminars in fall and spring, and organize research workshops, professional training, and informal academic gatherings. Associates are also fully integrated into the Society for the Humanities’ annual cohort of Fellows, including its Wednesday seminars.
