Sponsored by Cornell University’s Society for the Humanities and Department of Performing and Media Arts, this two-year teaching-research fellowship supports scholars whose research or creative projects connect theory and practice in film, media, or live performance. The program values innovative and experimental research methods and creative practices, particularly approaches that applicants bring into undergraduate teaching. Interdisciplinary expertise and teaching are desirable.
The fellowship covers the 2027–28 and 2028–29 academic years, beginning August 1, 2027. Fellows reside at Cornell in Ithaca, New York, with a department affiliation and a joint appointment with the Society for the Humanities. They pursue their own scholarly and creative work while teaching and engaging in the intellectual and creative life of the department and university.
