The Cornell Center for Social Sciences (CCSS) administers Accelerated Research Grants to help Cornell faculty secure external funding for ambitious social science research. The program supports faculty time and specific research outputs that strengthen an identified external proposal, rather than seeding new research projects.
Support is directed toward moving between phases of a multi-phase grant, renewing or continuing existing funded research, developing follow-on work that builds directly on a current project, or revising an unsuccessful proposal for resubmission. Funds can support research assistants, teaching assistants, or grant-writing assistance, as well as publications, websites, pilot studies, and open-access dissemination directly connected to the pending proposal.
