    Description

Cornell’s Center for Vertebrate Genomics (CVG) runs this seed grant program with ongoing support from the Office of the Vice Provost for Research. It supports genome-scale studies that stimulate collaborations within Cornell, particularly between computational and experimental scientists, and generate data to strengthen external grant applications featuring vertebrate genomics.

The larger awards are intended to help researchers prepare competitive single-PI or multi-PI proposals for external funding agencies. Although the program focuses on vertebrates, it also considers invertebrate studies that substantively inform vertebrate biology, especially from laboratories committed to bridging these areas. Applicants are encouraged to use Cornell’s genomic resources and facilities, including TREx, EpiGenomics, Proteomics, and the BRC Genomics Facility.
