    Description

Cornell University’s Cornell Center for Social Sciences (CCSS) provides Grant Preparation Funds to support the administrative work involved in preparing major external funding proposals. The program helps PI-eligible Cornell faculty devote more time to research while pursuing center grants, training grants, and other large collaborative grants with substantial or complex application processes.

Targeted opportunities may come from government agencies, industry collaborations, foundations, or nonprofit organizations. They typically have budgets of at least $1 million and often $5 million or more. Support can cover proposal-management staff, grant-writing consultants, funding-agency visits, and other proposal-development costs. A single award may support multiple eligible external proposals planned by the same research team.
