Description
COSI Achieve is administered by the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative within the Colorado Department of Higher Education. It combines Matching Student Scholarships and the Community Partnership Program’s postsecondary support into one program delivered through higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations. Every participating scholar receives both financial assistance and holistic services to reduce student loan debt, address barriers to enrollment and persistence, and support credential completion.
Programs must address outreach and recruitment, enrollment, scholar success, scholarships, fundraising, and completion and workforce transition. Organizations may integrate existing services if they meet Achieve requirements. COSI recommends a three-tier support model tailored to student needs, but organizations may design their own service model. Technical assistance supports program planning, implementation, and consistent delivery.
