The Cosmos Club Foundation’s Cosmos Scholars Prize recognizes significant achievements in doctoral research by recent Ph.D. graduates from Washington, D.C.-area universities. Awarded annually, the prize honors rigorous, groundbreaking work across the arts and humanities, biological and biomedical research, computer science and mathematics, physical sciences, and social sciences and economics. Selection emphasizes the originality of the research and its potential to drive innovation within the researcher’s discipline.
Recipients receive a monetary prize and are honored at a special reception at the historic Cosmos Club in Washington, D.C. At that event, awardees speak in their fields of expertise and share insights from their doctoral research with Cosmos Club members and invited guests.
