Description
The Cotsen Traveling Fellowship is an annual short-term research award offered by the American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA) through the Gennadius Library. It supports Ph.D. holders and graduate students of any nationality whose projects require use of the Library’s collections. The fellowship was established by the Overseers of the Gennadius Library to honor Lloyd E. Cotsen, a former Chair of the Overseers and a benefactor of the Library.
The award enables collection-based research during a stay in Athens, alongside participation in the scholarly activities of the Gennadius Library and the School. Applicants must explain their project’s specific relationship to the Library or its collections.
