Cotton Incorporated’s Product Development & Implementation research area supports work on cotton textile processing through Cooperative Research Agreements and Research Contracts. Its goal is to strengthen cotton’s competitiveness against synthetic alternatives by improving how cotton textiles are processed, how fabrics perform, and where cotton products can be used.
Research priorities include developing improved fabric performance technologies, evaluating processing methods with lower impacts, and exploring new market opportunities beyond traditional home and apparel sectors. The program brings these priorities together around cotton textile performance and market development. Cotton Incorporated is a not-for-profit research and promotion company that conducts research benefiting the cotton supply chain and encourages the use of cotton and cotton products.
