Summary: Supports research and partnerships that improve cotton’s sustainability, expand market opportunities, and create value across the supply chain.
Cotton Incorporated’s Sustainability research area supports research and partnerships that improve cotton’s sustainability while expanding market opportunities and creating value throughout the cotton supply chain. Its focus brings together science, data, standards, and innovation, connecting sustainability research with cotton’s market opportunities rather than treating sustainability as an isolated objective.
Cotton Incorporated sponsors this work through Cooperative Research Agreements and Research Contracts. As the research and promotion company for cotton, the nonprofit conducts research to benefit every link of the cotton supply chain and develops promotions that encourage the use of cotton and cotton products. The Sustainability area’s representative is Dr. Jesse Daystar, Chief Sustainability Officer.
