This award honors a Cottrell Scholar or Holland Award recipient who has demonstrated significant national impact in science through leadership and service activities. The goal is to promote academic leadership excellence within the Cottrell Scholar community and beyond, while elevating the national profile of these scholars. Recipients receive a $5,000 cash prize, are invited to deliver a plenary talk at the Cottrell Scholar Conference, and are featured in professional journals.
