The Cottrell Regional Meeting Awards support Cottrell Scholars and Holland Awardees in organizing one-day regional meetings at their institutions. These meetings are designed to foster dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive interactions within the Cottrell Scholar community and the broader scientific community, including non-CS faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students from nearby institutions. The initiative encourages themes in research or education and aims to increase outreach to underrepresented groups and minority-serving institutions. Both single and recurrent meetings (over three consecutive years) are eligible, with the goal of strengthening regional scientific networks and raising awareness of the Cottrell Scholar program.
