The Cottrell STAR (Science Teaching and Research) Award celebrates exceptional research and educational accomplishments among members of the Cottrell Scholar community and Holland Award recipients. The award aims to elevate science education at U.S. and Canadian institutions and enhance the national profile of Cottrell Scholars and Holland Awardees. Recipients are recognized for transformative impact in both scientific research and science education, demonstrating leadership, innovation, and broad influence in their fields. The award includes a $5,000 cash prize, an invitation to deliver a plenary talk at the Cottrell Scholar Conference, and professional recognition through journals and society communications.
