Description
The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) funds transportation services for veterans in counties and tribes not served by transportation services provided by the Wisconsin Department of Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Grants can help develop new services, maintain existing transportation, or expand service. They may also support multicounty cooperative transportation.
WDVA determines whether an area has a regularly scheduled DAV pickup point using rides in the preceding state fiscal year. Its September 2026 bulletin identifies seven counties where DAV pickup points meet that definition.
