Description
The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) administers this grant to support transportation services for veterans in Wisconsin counties not served by transportation services provided by the Wisconsin Department of Disabled American Veterans. Funding supports the development of new services as well as the maintenance and expansion of existing veterans’ transportation services.
The program’s scope also includes multicounty cooperative transportation services, allowing counties to organize transportation across county boundaries. Its focus encompasses all three areas—development, maintenance, and expansion—rather than the establishment of new services alone. Counties are the eligible applicants, and transportation for veterans is the central purpose of the supported work.
