Description
The Cover Crop Program, administered by the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA), provides grants to farmers to plant soil-building cover crops on agricultural fields. The program aims to improve water quality in the Chesapeake Bay and local waterways by encouraging practices that recycle unused nutrients, add organic matter, control weeds and pests, and reduce soil erosion.
