Description
The CR Barber Trust supports PhD research students who are Institute of Physics (IOP) members in attending overseas conferences of international standing. The conference must be outside the applicant’s country of residence and concerned with or closely related to physics. The fund is for conference participation, not a separate research project.
Grants can contribute to travel, registration fees or accommodation. They normally cover only part of the cost of attendance and are intended to supplement funding from other sources. Bursaries are paid as reimbursement of expenses properly incurred.
