Description
The Computing Research Association (CRA) presents the A. Nico Habermann Award, usually annually, to recognize outstanding contributions that increase the numbers and/or successes of groups marginalized in the computing research community. It honors the late A. Nico Habermann, who headed the National Science Foundation’s Computer and Information Science and Engineering Directorate and was deeply committed to broadening participation in technology.
The award recognizes work in government affairs, educational programs, professional societies, public awareness, and leadership that has a major impact on advancing marginalized groups. Contributions may focus directly on computing research or on its immediate precursors: undergraduate and graduate students.
