The Craig M. Cogut Visiting Professorship in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Brown University, administered by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS), invites applications from distinguished scholars to spend one or two semesters at Brown. The professorship aims to foster vibrant academic exchange, enrich the university’s intellectual life, and broaden perspectives on Latin America and the Caribbean. Visiting Professors engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching, deliver public presentations, and participate in the academic community of CLACS and related units. Each Professor teaches or co-teaches at least one undergraduate course focused on Latin America or the Caribbean per semester, with opportunities to collaborate with Brown faculty.
