Description
Creation Africa is an initiative led by Institut français, with support from the Fonds Équipe France Création of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, to strengthen partnerships between France and Africa by supporting the growth of African Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs). Launched in October 2023, the program offers a robust digital platform for CCI professionals, project-based funding, mentoring, and networking opportunities across sectors such as digital creation, music, cinema, design, fashion, eSports, and more. The program’s three main components are:
- The development of a digital platform for CCI professionals in Africa and France, enabling access to calls for projects, funding, and resources.
- Initiatives to structure and support local cultural industries, including sector mapping, mentoring programs, and support for key events and professional mobility.
- Advancing cultural entrepreneurship and dialogue within the French cultural network abroad.
The program is highly dynamic, with various project calls, events, and professional mobility opportunities offered throughout the year.
