Key Information: Applicants cannot apply to both C&P and Creative Communities, or apply to C&P while holding a current Creative Communities grant.
Description
The Wisconsin Arts Board’s Creation and Presentation (C&P) Program provides artistic programming and operational support for established nonprofit arts organizations whose primary mission is to create or present ongoing arts programming. It also provides overall operating support for eligible arts programs of tribal governments and universities. The work must make a significant local, regional, or statewide contribution to Wisconsin’s cultural life and further the board’s community development and arts education goals.
C&P is a multiyear program focused on sustained activity rather than a single proposed project. The board emphasizes artistic quality, programming suited to the communities served, stable management, and ongoing assessment and evaluation. Applications assess past artistic and organizational performance rather than future projections.
