Description
Vermont Arts Council Creation Grants support individual artists and artist groups developing new work. The program welcomes emerging and established artists across visual arts, crafts, performing arts, literary arts, media and design arts, and multidisciplinary arts. Projects can include drafting a novel, composing an album, developing choreography, or creating a video series.
Funding focuses on the creative process: artists’ time, materials or equipment, space, travel, and services needed to create or finish work. An independent panel of practicing artists and arts professionals reviews applications. The program is supported by the Vermont Community Foundation’s Arts Endowment Fund, the Trust for Art & Social Practice, and private donors.
