Description
Vermont Arts Council Creative Aging Grants support organizations offering arts-based activities for adults aged 60 and older. Projects combine sequential, skill-based instruction with intentional social engagement and are led by experienced teaching artists. Activities may take place in person or remotely, including workshop series at senior centers, libraries, arts organizations, or in participants’ homes.
The Council’s approach emphasizes sustained opportunities to develop artistic skills, build connections, and improve access to creative programming. Community partnerships are encouraged. Priority goes to projects facilitated by Vermont artists, particularly those on the Council’s Creative Aging Teaching Artist Roster. The grants are funded by the State of Vermont and the National Endowment for the Arts.
