Description
The Wyoming Arts Council’s Creative Aging Project Grant supports the development and delivery of arts programs for adults ages 55 and older in Wyoming communities. It funds 501(c)(3) organizations and individual teaching artists to offer sustained opportunities for participants to build creative skills, learn together, and form social connections.
Applicants propose one to four separate eight-week programs using the Lifetime Arts model: sequential, skills-based instruction followed by a public culminating event. Similar approaches that prioritize social engagement and sequential learning are also considered. Supported programs have included memoir writing, dance, photography, drawing, printmaking, music, and leatherworking.
