Description
Launched in 2020, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts’ Creative Business Loan Fund provides affordable, flexible financing to creative small businesses across the Commonwealth. The program recognizes these businesses as drivers of employment and economic vibrancy, with a focus on underserved communities, including small towns and rural areas. It encourages participation from businesses in low-income, urban, suburban, and rural communities.
The fund supports working capital, equipment purchases, renovations to business premises, and limited building acquisitions. Bridgeway Capital and Rising Tide Community Loan Fund manage loan capital and provide small business technical assistance in their respective regions. Creative businesses include craft manufacturers, arts schools, architecture and design firms, media companies, and visual and performing arts production agencies.
