The Creative Communities (CC) Program supports Wisconsin organizations’ community-planned arts projects that strengthen arts education, folk and traditional arts, and local arts for the public.

Description
The Wisconsin Arts Board’s Creative Communities program supports specific arts projects that encourage arts education, cultural understanding, and community arts development across Wisconsin. Its three components are Arts Education, Folk and Traditional Arts, and Local Arts. Through direct project support, the Board aims to sustain the state’s cultural, educational, and economic vitality.
Projects must be planned with an identified community to achieve a particular aim. The program supports projects less than three years old and newly expanded dimensions of existing projects, rather than an organization’s regular, ongoing programs or services. Community members must participate in planning, and activities must benefit the general interested public.
