The Creative Communities Initiative (CCI) provides multi-year funding to support community-driven, arts-based projects across Pennsylvania. The program is designed to catalyze social cohesion, livability, and economic and community development through creative placemaking and placekeeping. CCI projects are expected to integrate art, creative sector assets, community culture, and design to transform public spaces, promote inclusion and accessibility, empower grassroots leaders, and foster authentic partnerships. The initiative aims to strengthen communities, advance revitalization and resilience, and celebrate unique local identities by leveraging the creative sector to address community challenges.
