This Creative Europe MEDIA call funds audience development, film education and film literacy projects managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). It supports pan-European cooperation and innovation that increase interest in, knowledge of and access to existing European films and audiovisual works, particularly among young audiences. Content may include film heritage, videogames and immersive works.
Supported activities include audience-oriented events and innovative or cross-border film education initiatives. Cooperation between film institutions and existing online platforms, new digital tools, and engagement in areas with limited cinema infrastructure are encouraged. Proposals must use evidence-based audience or market needs analysis, identify quantifiable impacts and European added value, and present strategies for environmental sustainability, gender balance, inclusion, diversity and representativeness.
