    Description

European co-development is a Creative Europe MEDIA action managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). It supports development of a single audiovisual work for commercial cinema release, television, digital platforms or a multi-platform environment. Eligible genres are animation, creative documentary and fiction, including interactive and immersive works.

The programme seeks projects with high creative value, cultural diversity and strong cross-border audience potential. It encourages joint creative development, complementary partnerships and innovative financing, with marketing and distribution planned from the outset. Expected results include more international co-productions, stronger project feasibility and market value, and improved positions for European production companies in international markets. Applications must address environmental sustainability, gender balance, inclusion, diversity and representativeness.
