    Description

European slate development is a Creative Europe MEDIA programme managed by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). It supports independent European audiovisual production companies developing slates of three to five fiction, animation or creative documentary works for cinema, television, digital platforms or multi-platform exploitation. Companies may add a short film directed by emerging talent.

The programme aims to strengthen companies’ competitiveness, investment capacity and international market position while improving their works’ quality, feasibility, cultural diversity and cross-border potential. It encourages European and international co-production, innovation, talent retention, and marketing and distribution planning from early development. Applications should include strategies for environmental sustainability, gender balance, inclusion, diversity and representativeness.
