Description
Creative Experiences is run by Mass Cultural Council, Massachusetts’s state arts agency, to support cultural activities that improve community quality of life and well-being. It funds organizations, creative businesses, government entities, and schools that produce, present, or facilitate experiences through which people engage with creativity, explore the natural world, and connect with history and community.
Eligible activities include teaching residencies, workshops, festivals, performances, exhibitions, oral history projects, public installations, and in-state field trips. The program takes a broad view of cultural disciplines, including nontraditional art forms and recreational activities tied to cultural context. Science support is limited to cultural, interpretive, and educational expression—not science research generally. Historically underfunded organizations, including Indigenous, BIPOC, d/Deaf and Disability organizations and organizations serving vulnerable populations, are encouraged to apply.
