Description
The Creative Futures Fellowship, administered by Venture Partners at CU Boulder, supports researchers, inventors and creators in the arts, humanities and social sciences. It addresses a gap in federal and state innovation funding that often overlooks these disciplines’ translational potential. Projects must deliver tangible outcomes that strengthen communities, advance positive social change or create economic opportunity beyond the university.
Alongside grants, fellows receive access to mentorship, practical development resources and a cross-disciplinary cohort through studio programming. The experience culminates in a showcase of fellows’ innovations and impact. Commercialization is one possible outcome, but projects may also create nonprofits, musical or artistic exhibitions, or collaborations with municipalities and state, federal or international governments.
