Description
The Creative Renewal Fellowship, offered by the Arts and Science Council, is designed to reinvigorate experienced artists in Charlotte-Mecklenburg by providing a sabbatical-like experience. The fellowship supports established creatives with over 10 years of experience, allowing them to explore new artistic directions, deepen their work, and sustain long-term creative vitality. The program emphasizes combating creative burnout, integrating new mediums or ideas, and gaining new skillsets through workshops, residencies, apprenticeships, travel, and living accommodations. Fellows are encouraged to experiment, learn, and bring renewed energy back to the local arts ecosystem.
