    Description

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation and the NASPGHAN Foundation jointly support this three-year award for research fellows and junior faculty investigating pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Eligible work includes original translational, epidemiological, and basic scientific research. The award supports both research and project-related activities, including travel to scientific meetings and professional membership dues.

Applicants are considered through submissions to the Foundation’s Career Development Award or Research Fellowship Award, rather than a separate joint-award application. They must identify their proposed research as pediatric IBD-related. One recipient is selected annually from applications across the Fall and Spring cycles, with selection in late June or early July. The program forms part of the Foundation’s broader effort to advance understanding of Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve patients’ quality of life.
