Description
Sponsored by Williams College’s Office of the Dean of the Faculty, this internal fund supports workshops that bring faculty together with colleagues from other colleges and universities around a shared interest. It encourages collaboration particularly among liberal arts colleges. Workshops may address research, curricula, or pedagogy, within or across disciplines, and may meet on co-organizers’ campuses or extend a professional meeting.
The fund aims to sustain cross-institutional work in scholarship, creative endeavors, and teaching. It prioritizes workshops with broad impact within or across fields, an integration of pedagogy and scholarship, and plans for continued activity. The initiative is a two-year pilot, with a decision about making it a regular offering after the 2028–29 academic year.
