The CSA Dependent Care Grant is designed to assist members of the Costume Society of America (CSA) who have dependent care responsibilities—such as caring for children, elderly parents, partners, or adult children with disabilities—by helping to offset additional care expenses incurred as a result of attending the national Annual Meeting and Symposium. The grant is intended to make symposium participation more accessible, with priority given to those presenting at the symposium and/or in the early stages of their careers.
Allowable expenses include extra daycare at home or at the symposium, as well as costs for bringing a professional caretaker (non-family member). The grant does not cover costs already incurred by attending the symposium, such as registration or travel for the attendee or their dependents.
