Description
This grant assists small museums, historical societies, historic houses, and similar non-profit institutions in the care, conservation, and exhibition of costume and textile collections. Since 2003, it has supported projects that address the most pressing needs for preserving and interpreting historically or regionally significant costume and textile objects. Funding may be used for conservation supplies, display items, consultant services, or other initiatives directly related to the institution’s costume collection. The intent is to make a significant impact for institutions with limited budgets and staff, enabling better stewardship and public engagement with costume collections.
