The CSC Research Grant is administered by the International Society for Neurochemistry’s Career Support Committee (CSC). It supports committed young members as they develop their own research activities and establish themselves as independent investigators. It forms part of the wider ISN Career Support Grants, which support progression toward research independence and reintegration into active research after a career interruption.
The grant funds practical research needs, including laboratory consumables, small equipment and instrumentation, access to shared research facilities, and animal housing. It also supports participation in ISN-related scientific events. Global inclusivity is a stated priority: 40% of the total budget is reserved for applicants from developing or underdeveloped countries, as defined by World Bank classification.
