Description
The South Carolina Arts Commission funds creative placemaking led by current S.C. Cultural Districts. Projects can include festivals, performances, workshops, public art, and other activities that expand and integrate the arts, culture, or design priorities in a district’s approved strategic plan.
Programming must take place within the district’s approved boundaries. Projects should bring artists, designers, or culture bearers together with non-arts partners and engage the public through arts-based activity. The program emphasizes meaningful community participation and a clear connection between the proposed work and the district’s longer-term vision.
