Description
This program funds creative individuals to deliver free, community-driven arts, science, and history programming across Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The initiative aims to remove barriers to cultural participation, especially in historically underserved neighborhoods, by supporting workshops, performances, festivals, and educational events shaped by local residents. Projects may include visual arts, dance, theater, writing, music, film, multicultural experiences, and more, taking place in libraries, recreation centers, parks, and other accessible community venues. The program is administered by the Arts and Science Council in partnership with Mecklenburg County and local public institutions.
