Description

This Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action supports projects that systematically investigate and validate the positive effects of cultural experiences—delivered by cultural heritage institutions and creative industries—on health and well-being. The goal is to develop evidence-based, scalable, and replicable practices that can be adopted by cultural institutions, creative sectors, health and educational actors, and civil society. Projects may focus on a range of cultural interventions, from arts-based crisis support to the role of video games in fostering community and well-being, or on overcoming barriers to the adoption of validated cultural interventions.

Applicants are expected to:

• Deepen knowledge of how cultural experiences improve health and well-being (both physical and mental).
• Develop and validate scalable practices for stakeholders.
• Engage key industrial, health, cultural, educational, and civil society actors in co-producing or supporting such experiences.
• Contribute to the competitiveness of European cultural and creative sectors in health and well-being.

Projects should involve relevant stakeholders, consider gender dimensions, build on existing research, and may include pilot trials or other validation methods. Collaboration with the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) is encouraged where relevant.
