Description
The CURATE Research Support Program—Celebrating University Research Across the Enterprise—is administered by the University of Kentucky’s Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR). It implements the university’s Research Strategic Plan commitment to recurring support for research, scholarship, and creative works in areas of excellence that are not traditionally amenable to external funding. Support includes summer research salary and a broad range of research and creative activities.
Funding decisions are made by participating colleges and units so that awards align with their research goals. The annual funding pool comes from facilities and administrative costs associated with grants and contracts through the University of Kentucky Research Foundation (UKRF) budget. OVPR also provides funds for an annual CURATE celebration highlighting supported work.
