Description
This program funds the development or enhancement of humanities curricula, courses, and teaching resources at accredited higher education institutions in the United States. Projects must focus on Western civilization, American history, American government and civics, and/or the Great Books tradition, and may approach these subjects through disciplines such as philosophy, history, languages and literature, political science, archaeology, and classics. The grant aims to strengthen the teaching and study of the humanities through new or revised courses, faculty development, partnerships, and the creation of educational materials. Projects can address undergraduate, graduate, or both levels of study, provided they are grounded in humanities scholarship and involve humanities faculty.
