The Cushman Foundation for Foraminiferal Research offers Retiree Research and Travel Grants to help retired members without other financial resources carry out research and meeting-related travel. Supported work may address any aspect of living or fossil foraminifera or other protists, including diatoms, coccolithophorids, dinoflagellates, acritarchs, and radiolaria.
The program provides support for travel associated with spring and summer meetings as well as fall and winter meetings. Proposals are judged on scientific merit and financial need. Applications describe the proposed research and its importance, explain the expenditures needed to carry it out, and document the applicant’s financial need.
