Description
The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) administers this competitive, state-funded grant program to expand access to substance use disorder treatment and transitional services for people incarcerated in Virginia’s local and regional jails. Projects may provide medication-assisted treatment, addiction recovery and other substance use disorder services, reentry and transitional support, or a combination of these approaches.
The program supports work that brings treatment into jail settings and helps people transition from incarceration. Applicants may propose to plan and implement a program or to expand or enhance existing treatment or transition services.
