    Description

The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) funds CyberArts in partnership with Virginia Tech’s Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT). The program brings together cybersecurity researchers and the arts and design community across the CCI network to reimagine cybersecurity research through accessible creative expression. Works must communicate, interpret, or respond to cybersecurity concepts, challenges, discoveries, or outcomes, with particular interest in CCI-funded research.

Eligible projects include visual art, installations, performances, digital experiences, interactive exhibits, multimedia projects, educational experiences, and other creative works. The program aims to showcase research across the network, foster interdisciplinary partnerships, and expand public understanding of cybersecurity. Funded works will participate in public exhibitions, including a planned multi-month exhibit at the Science Museum of Virginia in Richmond, with additional exhibitions expected across Virginia.
