Description
The Cybersecurity Upskilling Initiative is a grant program designed to fund job training initiatives that enhance the cybersecurity skills of incumbent and dislocated workers who already possess Information Technology (IT) credentials and experience. The goal is to provide these workers with additional qualifications and specialized training to meet the growing employer demand for high-skill cybersecurity occupations.
Grants will be awarded to sector partnerships—collaborations of employers, training providers, and other stakeholders—to design and implement effective cybersecurity training programs. This initiative focuses on upskilling workers who need to advance their expertise in cybersecurity to fill critical workforce gaps.
The program is administered by the Employment and Training Administration (ETA), a U.S. Department of Labor agency dedicated to workforce development and employment services.
