Description
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Dam Safety Grants program provides financial assistance to local units of government for the repair, reconstruction, or removal of publicly owned dams that present safety hazards or environmental risks. The initiative aims to address aging dam infrastructure, prioritize hazardous or nonfunctional dams, and promote stream restoration, public safety, property value, habitat quality, water quality, and recreational opportunities throughout Minnesota.
