Description
The Foundation for SMFM established the Danielle Peress, MD Memorial Fund in 2018 in memory of Dani Peress, who died during her second year of maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) fellowship. The fund honors her wish to help future MFM fellows conduct research during fellowship.
The award supports clinical or translational research that advances MFM, without a single prescribed research topic. Past recipients have studied preeclampsia testing, spontaneous preterm birth, obstetric sepsis care, postpartum care, and patients’ experiences with continuous glucose monitoring in pregnancy.
