Description
The Damage Assessment, Remediation and Restoration Program (DARRP) Restoration Implementation Grants, administered by NOAA, are designed to support non-federal partners in implementing marine and coastal habitat restoration and conservation projects. The program aims to address injuries to natural resources resulting from oil spills, hazardous substance releases, and related incidents, with a focus on projects authorized under the Oil Pollution Act, CERCLA, Clean Water Act, National Marine Sanctuaries Act, and similar authorities. Eligible projects may include restoration of wetlands, reefs, floodplains, streams, and habitats for fish, birds, and marine mammals, as well as planning, monitoring, and technique development activities. Recipients will work closely with NOAA and trustee councils to identify, select, and implement restoration activities, including oversight of sub-awards and project evaluation.
