The David Keller Travel Grants, offered by the American Society for Theatre Research (ASTR), are intended to encourage untenured scholars with terminal degrees—including independent, contingent, tenure-track, and adjunct faculty—to become active members of ASTR by supporting their participation in the annual conference. The grant honors David Keller, a long-time ASTR Treasurer and respected theatre professional, and aims to foster engagement and professional development within the theatre research community. Each award provides financial assistance to help offset the costs associated with attending the annual ASTR conference, including an $800 honorarium and complimentary conference registration.
